Karan Johar Picks The Best Of 2011!

It’s the year end and it’s time for introspection – critics have already started giving their year end lists (top 10 movies of the year, top 10 actors, top 10 actresses etc). Karan Johar, one of the celebrated producer-directors in the industry, has his clear favorites and he didn’t think twice before speaking about them on twitter.

When it comes to the best film of the year, it was cakewalk for Karan as he picked Zoya Akhtar‘s Hrithik-Katrina starer Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara as his clear favorite! He tweeted “ZNMD is my favourite film of the year and zoya my favourite director!!!!”

This year’s most popular song Chammak Challo won Karan’s heart too, he tweeted “Chamak challo is my favourite song of 2011 and ooh la la is a close second!!! Take a bow vishal and shekhar!!!”

Like in the case of every other critic’s list this year, Ranbir Kapoor and Vidya Balan topped Karan Johar‘s list too for the acting honors “Ranbir and vidya are undoubtedly the performances of the year for rockstar and dirty picture respectively!!!”, he added.

Stanley Ka Dabba was one of the most loved small films of the year and Karan too has a soft spot for the movie, he expressed his admiration by saying “Stanley ka dabba was a tiny gem of a movie and partho the kid who essayed the title role was just splendid!!!!”

Then it was the turn for his close buddy Shahrukh Khan and his movies (DON 2 and Ra. One) – Karan expressed his excitement over the box office prospectus of Don 2,  ”With DON 2 all set to cross the 100 crore mark…one can safely say its been a box office boom time year!!!! See you all at the movies!!!”

Not just that, he congratulated the Don 2 team for their efforts “Its been a great year for my friends at excel entertainment!!! Way to go @Riteishd and @FarOutAkhtar!!! And with his super sexy DON act…@iamsrk proves that he can be the best lover and the meanest man on celluloid with equal panache!!!”

Although a critical failure, Karan underlined the fact that Ra. One was a game changer for Bollywood; he congratulated Shahrukh Khan saying “@iamsrk pulled all stops with RA ONE and made it the most incredible tech savvy film of indian cinema!!!! He has the POWER!!!! Way to go!!!”
