Gunday On The Set Photos Ft. Arjun Kapoor, Ranveer Singh & Priyanka Chopra

Yash Raj Films’ latest film Gunday starring Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor & Priyanka Chopra is nearing its completion as the crew has completed the 2nd schedule shooting in Kolkata. Director Ali Abbas Zafar tweeted, “Gunday film kolkatta schedule wrapped . Gunday back to Mumbai”

The director also said that the 3rd schedule shooting is in the offing which is all set to happen in Mumbai, he further tweeted, “Back in Mumbai. Start 3rd schedule of GUNDAY in Mumbai in 3 days :)”

The movie is set in 1971-1988 Kolkata where it tells the story of two goons (played by Ranveer Singh & Arjun Kapoor). Priyanka Chopra plays the common love interest.

The male leads Arjun Kapoor & Ranveer Singh have good chemistry as it is visible in the following on the sets photos, which also include Priyanka Chopra in a beautiful retro avatar. Take a look!

Priyanka Chopra Sizzles In Her International Single ‘In My City’ Music Video!

It’s been a long wait for Priyanka Chopra fans and it’s finally here! The much awaited video of her hit English single ‘In My City’ (the song is already a big hit in India) from her album of the same name. The song also features the famous rapper will.i.am (You can find the lyrics of the song here).

The video was first released on MTV India yesterday and the official video was posted on her VEVO Youtube channel this morning. The video already has close to 1000 likes in few hours.

As Priyanka Chopra promised before she has included Indian elements here and there in a subtle manner in the video. You can find an auto rikshaw in the background. She also incorporated Indian ‘Namastey’ in her dance movement. Keeping that aside, In My City is a truly international video with all the necessary elements in it.

Priyanka Chopra has danced beautifully in the video. However she hasn’t tried any Indian dance styles in the video. Being able to dance effortlessly should work in her favor in musical career in US. Here’s wishing all the best for Priyanka Chopra for mega success with this video and the rest of the songs in the album, which will be unraveled throughout this year.

Barfi! Fails To Make Oscars 2013 Nomination Shortlist!

India’s official entry at this year’s Oscars, Barfi!, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra & Ileana D’Cruz and directed by Anurag Basu, has failed to make the oscar nomination list. The latest shortlist has 9 foreign films and it’s the last list before the final 5 nomination list.

Barfi! tells the story of the relationship between a deaf-mute man and autistic woman. The movie was appreciated by critics and audience alike when it got released this year. The acting by its lead cast and the lyrical quality of Anurab Basu’s direction were applauded by everyone. Though it wasn’t a typical commercial film Barfi! went on to collect staggering 106 crores in India during its theatrical run. Indian Oscar Committee chose Barfi! as its Oscar entry around the same time. However, it was soon revealed that Barfi! had copied scenes from many Hollywood/World classic movies. It became a hot topic on social networking sites as users started coming with proof for more copied scenes. Since then Indian Oscar Committee was criticized heavily for choosing wrong entries year after year. They had omitted acclaimed and original movies like Kahaani, Paan Singh Tomar & Gangs Of Wasseypur to select Barfi! Since then Barfi! had zero buzz as far its Oscar chances were concerned. Now with its unceremonious exit from the short list, Indian Oscar Committee will come under much scrutiny all over again.
