‘Lucky’ Directors Make A Come Back With Sunny Deol’s I Love New Year

Director-duo Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru, who had directed the Salman Khan-Sneha Ullal starrer ‘Lucky’, will be returning to direct a feature film after a long time and the two will wield the megaphone for Sunny Deol’s upcoming flick Í Love New Year’.

Rao and Sapru are said to be quite close to Salman and the superstar had roped the two for directing two songs viz. ‘Dagabaaz re’ and ‘Saanson ne’ of his latest massy flick ‘Dabangg 2’. Radhika and Vinay had also directed two songs ‘Tere mast mast do nain’ and çhori kiya re’ for the prequel ‘Dabangg. Needless to say, the aforementioned songs were a major hit and there were reports that Salman considers them his ‘lucky’ pair (pun unintended!)

I Love New Year’ is the story of two strangers, who meet up on a New Year’s Eve due to an unusual sequence of events and end up falling in love. Film releases on 26th April 2013.

Box Office: Dabangg 2 Enters 100 Crore Club In 6 Days!

Salman Khan’s much awaited Christmas release Dabangg 2 opposite Sonkashi Sinha has done excellent business in first 6 days. The movie just entered the 100 crore club in less than a week’s time. The movie was a smash hit both in India as well as abroad. Dabangg 2 grossed $4 million in first three days in overseas markets hence proving that Salman Khan has got strong global fan base.

Given there are no major release in next week Dabangg 2 is all set to continue its successful run at the box office. Only one thing that left to see is whether it will be able to cross the record of Salman Khan’s this year’s another blockbuster hit ‘Ek Tha Tiger’.

Compared to the 1800 screens of Dabangg (2010), Dabangg 2 had a wider release with more than 3000 screens.

Dabangg 2 is directed by Salman Khan’s brother Arbaaz Khan. Abhinav Kashyap directed the first movie.

Happy Birthday Salman Khan (47th Birthday)!

Bollywood super star Salman Khan is celebrating his 47th birthday today (December 27) and we at HindiFilmNews.com wish him a wonderful birthday. Fans and Bollywood celebrities wished the actor on twitter. Every year Salman Khan celebrates his birthday at his farm house in Panvel. But reports suggest that Salman Khan has decided to celebrate his birthday at his Galaxy Aparatments in Bandra. Many Bollywood celebrities, friends and family members turned up at the birthday celebrations at his apartment. Salman Khan later waved at the crowd gathered outside his home from first floor balcony.

Salman Khan had a wonderful year professionally in 2012. His Eid release Ek Tha Tiger smashed box office record while settling with ’2nd biggest Bollywood grosser’ title. His Christmas release Dabangg 2 has reportedly crossed the 100 crore mark at domestic box office within 6 days! With two of the biggest hits in recent times and a successful stint as a Television host (Bigg Boss season 6) Salman Khan definitely had a fulfilling year.

However, the birthday turned out to be bittersweet for the actor. He was required to appear before the court for his 2002 hit-and-run case. He had even joked about it that his wife would meet him in jail on his birthday if he gets married before that. Luckily the court granted him an exemption from appearing before it on his birthday (his sister appeared on behalf of him). So Salman Khan finally heave a sigh of relief and celebrate the birthday with a happy state of mind.
