Shahrukh Khan Is The Riches Indian Celebrity In 2012, Says Forbes Magazine!

Bollywood super stars Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan topped the forbes Richest Indian celebrity list of 2012 (compiled by Forbes magazine) beating country’s top cricketers. Kareena Kapoor is the richest woman on the list as she’s at 7th position ahead of even some Bollywood super stars! Four Bollywood stars made in to the top 5 (Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar & Amitabh Bachchan).

Among musicians, Oscar winner A R Rahman took the 20th spot on the list.

According to Forbes Shahrukh Khan (who is called ‘King Khan’) has earned 202.83 crores in 2012. Shahrukh Khan had only one release in 2012, late Yash Chopra’s last film ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’, yet he managed to earn huge money through his endorsements & IPL team ‘Kolkata Knight Riders’ (his team became the champion in 2012). When it comes to making money, Shahrukh Khan has been consistently maintaining his top spot for several years now. The super star is considered to be one of the biggest business savvy actors in Bollywood ever.

As for Salman Khan, who came with a total of 144.2 crores, 2012 was a great year for him from every angle. Two of his movies Ek Tha Tiger & Dabangg 2 entered the top 5 list of all time blockbusters. At the same time his Television show Bigg Boss became one of the most watched TV shows of the year. It was reported that Salman Khan was offered crores for a single episode! Talk about star power!

Coming to Akshay Kumar, he also had a pretty good year in 2012 with super hits like ‘Housefull 2′, ‘Rowdy Rathore’ to his credit. Moreover, OMG: Oh My God!, produced by Akshay Kumar, collected more than 70 crores in Indian box office making it one of the biggest hits of 2012 in terms of its production cost.

Amitabh Bachchan, who is at the 4th place, continued to be a money spinner with his TV show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’, commercials and his movie assignments.

Kareena Kapoor is the only women celebrity on the top 10 list and she got the well deserved 7th spot with her wonderful innings at movies (Talaash, Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu, Heroine),  hit item songs (Dabangg 2 & Heroine) and top brand endorsements! And we hear she has already earned close to 50 crores in 2013 with her endorsement deals alone!

As for Aamir Khan being at 12th position with 42.5 crore, one can reason with the fact that Mr. Khan had turned down all of his endorsement deals in 2012 keeping his TV show ‘Satyamev Jayate’ in mind. Let’s hope that Aamir Khan improves his position in 2013!

The list was prepared based on two parameters: Estimates of entertainment-related earnings and Estimates of fame. For each celebrity, independent estimates from multiple sources—industry insiders including talent management agencies, film and TV producers, publishers, music industry professionals, sports consultants, advertising agencies, brand marketers, celebrity managers and other relevant experts, were calculated. And for fame, media visibility across print, television and the internet was used. Google was used to estimate online exposure, Facebook fans and Twitter followers.

Shahrukh Khan’s Handsome Turn At Forbes Magazine Photo Shoot!

As we all know Shahrukh Khan is one of the most handsome Bollywood actors around and no one captures him better than Dabboo Ratnani. Over the years Dabboo Ratnani has given us best of Shahrukh Khan in his candid, broody best shots. Shahrukh Khan looks best in his thoughtful or serious poses than his other moods – may be because he’s spiritual and philosophical person.

Shahrukh Khan was on the cover of Forbes magazine India edition recently and he looks zillion bucks on it. The photographer Dabboo Ratnani says that they wanted a serious looking Shahrukh Khan for the shoot. So Shahrukh Khan sports a stubble (he looks so good in it by the way) for this photo shoot.
